Boating and Fishing in the Boise National Forest

Boise National Forest is just a short trip away from our hotel. The forest possesses more than 250 lakes and reservoirs, making it an ideal place for a boating adventure. Multiple campgrounds support motorized boating, and there’s an abundance of fishing opportunities. Trout are a native species to most of the rivers, streams, and lakes. Major rivers that run through the forest include The Payette River, The Boise River, and the South Fork Salmon River. If you don’t have a fishing boat—no worries. There’s many fishing piers spread across the park’s waters.
