Project Wake Up Call
As hoteliers, we take pride in the communities we call home, and it is our belief that everyone in the communities we share deserves to sleep with a roof over his or her head. With that in mind, we launched Project Wake Up Call, an art project created in partnership with local charities and artists, in an effort to make our hometowns better places to live and visit, for everyone.
Baltimore is the first of many planned Project Wake Up Call initiatives. In partnership with photographer Ian Tong and Health Care for the Homeless, a local nonprofit health clinic, we set out to document the living situations common among Baltimore’s homeless community. To do so, Mr. Tong traveled across Baltimore engaging individuals experiencing homelessness and documenting their living situations with his camera. The result is an impactful series of photographs available for viewing on the Project Wake Up Call website.
To get involved with #ProjectWakeUpCall, participants are encouraged to “Book” the photograph of the location that most resonates with them. Upon booking, you will be directed to a donations page, where the entirety of your donation will go directly to Health Care for the Homeless to support their mission of ending homelessness by promoting affordable housing and health care for vulnerable individuals.
We encourage you to visit the website today to learn more about the project and join us in our effort to better Baltimore for visitors and locals alike.
