Hogue Cellars

Washington’s 19th bonded winery, Hogue Cellars began in founder Mike Hogue’s backyard. From 2,000 cases in 1982 to 400,000 cases today, this Prosser winery has received continually been awarded for the consistent quality of its wines, made exclusively from fruit harvested within Washington.

Get into a Washington state of mind and plan your next adventure to wine country over dinner with one of our favorite wine-inspired dishes: Chicken Marsala.


¼ cup all-purpose flour for coating

½ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

½ teaspoon dried oregano

4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves, pounded ¼ inch thick

4 tablespoons butter

4 tablespoons olive oil

1 cup sliced mushrooms

½ cup Marsala wine

¼ cup cooking sherry


  1. In a shallow dish or bowl, mix together the flour, salt, pepper, and oregano.
  2. Coat chicken breast halves in flour mixture.
  3. In a large skillet, melt butter in oil over medium heat.
  4. Place coated chicken breast halves in the pan and lightly brown.
  5. Turn over chicken pieces and add mushrooms.
