Off the Beaten Path

Sometimes you just need an escape from reality – a few days to relax, unwind and refresh in the great outdoors. There’s nothing better than the blissful surroundings that come with being in nature. We encourage you to try something new and off the beaten path:

Twin Falls, ID

Called “The Niagara of the West,” Twin Falls is home to the jaw-dropping Shoshone Falls. With diverse recreational options like hiking, kayaking, paddle boarding and swimming along the Snake River, it’s no wonder why locals flock to it. Be sure to check out the Perrine Bridge that connects the Snake River Canyon. Base jumpers are allowed to jump year-round. Taste the local eats at Elevation 486, with the best food and views in town!

Kalispell, MT

This culture-rich city has been known as the “Gateway to Glacier Park” since the opening of the park in 1910. Folks can take a tour of historic downtown or head straight to Glacier National Park. Hike along one of many trails; we suggest Trail of Cedars, Hidden Lake and the breathtaking Dawson-Pitamakan Loop. For a farm-to-table dining experience, try Hop’s Downtown Grill – serving up gourmet burgers and local meats (Yak, Bison and Boar).

St. George, UT

St. George is an adventurer’s wonderland. It’s a big city with a small town feel and located between Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon and the Grand Canyon in the Mojave Desert. Come in the spring for the best wildflowers, hike the trails at Snow Canyon or take a guided horseback riding tour. Whatever you can dream of doing outside, St. George has it! Refuel at the Painted Pony, TripAdvisor’s top-rated restaurant.
